Area Manager/Occupational Therapist
Amy came to Occupational Therapy later in life, graduating with her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of South Dakota in 2011. She enjoys working with people and families of all ages, including her work in assisted livings, home health, nursing homes, and pediatrics. She is a certified dementia care practitioner, a certified lymphedema therapist, and certified in LSVT BIG, a program for those with Parkinson’s Disease. She most recently completed the training as a Certified Living in Place Professional (CLIPP). Prior to becoming an OT, Amy was engaged in mission work in the rural South for five years after earning her Master of Arts in Theological Studies. She then stayed at home for 10 years to raise her four children. OT is a wonderful niche for Amy because it allows her to focus on the physical, emotional, spiritual and mental well-being of those she serves. She and her husband John live in Elk Point, SD.
